a winning and classic combination and one that can be tailored to the occasion. Crowd pleasing, comforting pies, fancy-pancy Frenchy tarts, and the American 'galette' with its decorative crust, an informal version of the French style or pie without need of a dish - style this ropey-edged alternative as you will.

what: there are not many who can resist the seductive force of well made pastry - the crisp flakiness as container of a variety of fillings is a thing of beauty and a joy to eat and is easier than you might think to make.

pull up a stool, grab a cup of tea or coffee, and join me while I prepare everything from scratch, take you through the techniques and teach you a thing or two about different types and tastes of these adaptable autumn and winter favourites. Get your hands a little doughy and your apron a little floury if you like, or sit back and watch and learn with clean hands and a keen eye if you prefer and then, of course, join me in sampling what we make!

you need bring nothing but your curiosity - recipe booklets, equipment, ingredients, expertise, morning coffee and tea, good company all provided as standard.
